An Important Note about Alterations and Warranties
Installations or alterations to the original equipment vehicle (or chassis) as distributed by General Motors are not covered by the General Motors New-Vehicle Limited Warranty. The special body company, assembler, equipment installer, or upfitter is solely responsible for warranties on the body or equipment and any alterations (or any effect of the alterations) to any of the parts, components, systems, or assemblies installed by GM. General Motors is not responsible for the safety or quality of design features, materials, or workmanship of any alterations by such suppliers.

GM dealer/retailers have the specialized training and GM genuine parts and accessories to ensure your vehicle is repaired and maintained properly. Although you are not required to have your vehicle serviced at a GM deal/retailership, we highly recommend that you do. In addition, we encourage you to keep detailed records and receipts of your maintenance history.
Does the required Maintenance of my vehicle change as a result of this new powertrain limited warranty?
As a vehicle owner, you are responsible for the performance of the scheduled maintenance listed in your Owners Manual. In addition, we strongly encourage you to keep detailed records and receipts of your maintenance history.
Can I purchase this extra powertrain coverage for my 2006 (and prior) vehicle?
You may be eligible to choose from one of our GMPP offerings which can be tailored to meet your needs - including extended powertrain coverage. Please contact your selling dealer/retailership for details on the various GM Protection Plan programs.

These repairs must be performed by an Authorized Buick dealer, except in an emergency situation when a covered part or a Buick dealer is not reasonably available to the vehicle owner.
